Meet the Creator Behind Zoo Zompers: A Lifetime of Helping Children Communicate

Every great educational tool begins with a passion for helping others—and that's exactly how Zoo Zompers came to life.

After nearly three decades as a speech-language pathologist, Kay Ely saw firsthand the difference that engaging, interactive learning could make in a child's development. Rather than simply retiring from the profession she loved, she found a new way to continue making an impact.

Nearly 30 Years of Experience

For 29 years, Kay worked with children and adults across a variety of therapy settings, including:

  • Public schools

  • Pediatric clinics

  • Healthcare centers

  • Her own private speech-language pathology practice

During her 12 years in private practice, Kay provided individualized therapy for children and adults with a wide range of communication challenges. Throughout her career, one thing remained constant: her commitment to helping every individual find confidence through communication.

Why Zoo Zompers Was Created

Retirement didn't mean stepping away from helping children—it simply opened the door to a new opportunity.

Kay wanted to create something that combined learning with play, giving therapists, teachers, and parents an enjoyable way to reinforce important communication skills outside of traditional therapy sessions. That vision became Zoo Zompers.

The result is a fun, educational card game designed to encourage language development while keeping children engaged and excited to learn.

Learning Through Play

Children learn best when they're having fun. Zoo Zompers helps transform skill-building into an exciting game that supports communication, language development, and confidence.

Whether you're a:

  • Speech-language pathologist

  • Teacher

  • Parent

  • Caregiver

Zoo Zompers offers a creative way to practice essential communication skills while making learning feel like play.

Backed by Professionals

Zoo Zompers isn't just a fun game—it's a resource developed by an experienced speech-language pathologist and tested by fellow speech-language pathologists with proven results.

Its thoughtful design makes it an excellent addition to therapy sessions, classrooms, homeschooling environments, or family game nights where learning naturally becomes part of the fun.

Helping Every Child Find Their Voice

Kay Ely's career has always centered around empowering others through communication. With Zoo Zompers, that mission continues by providing families and professionals with an engaging tool that helps children build skills, confidence, and success—one game at a time.

When education and play come together, amazing things can happen—and Zoo Zompers is proof of that.
