I am a mother of three grown sons and four grandchildren.
My sons live in California, New York, and Minnesota, so I get to experience the
best of both coasts, which has been fun. My passions are walking, hiking, camping, canoeing, yoga,
reading, movies and theatre. The biggest love in my life is playing
with my grandchildren and instilling memories into their lives. When I was 10 years old, I would baby-sit my cousin who was
mentally and physically disabled. That’s where my passion to work with
impaired children. Through my years as a speech therapist, I have been truly
blessed to work with wonderful children and their families. I am excited to begin a new journey, working at an academy
for high functioning 7th – 10th grade students that are
on the autism spectrum.
I
left the school system and began Through my years of experience, I realized how important the family and the child’s home environment play in a child’s communication needs. I knew that the parent’s were the key to open the doors to their child’s communication. That’s when I decided to offer my services within the child’s home environment. That is how Expressions in Motion began. With
Expressions in Motion, I am able to provide families with the support, tools and
encouragement the child needs to meet their speech goals. I
am also a licensed instructor of the Hanen
Program, a family focused early
intervention program. I
have extensive knowledge in all of the following areas: Autism
