Kay Ely, MA CCC-SLP  Speech Language Pathologist

Kay Ely is the Founder and Executive Director of Expressions in Motion. For 20 years, Kay has devoted her career as a speech therapist to advocating, counseling, training, teaching, and developing communication programs for children with special needs and their families.  Her commitment to expand and enhance access to a wider array of services for individuals with autism and their families inspired her to found Expressions in Motion, in 2007.

Kay’s approach is interactive, fun, and engaging. Your child won’t realize how much education and information she has packed into the hour-long sessions.

In order to work with the child where the skills and techniques will be used on a daily basis, Kay offers personalized, home-based education, consulting, and therapy in their natural and private environment.

Expressions in Motion also provides “Make That Connection” classes for adolescents, teenagers, and young adults on the Autism Spectrum to explore cognitive -based social skills that impact their daily life and social interactions.  The curriculum is based on Michelle Garcia Winner’s Social Thinking treatment approach for individuals with high functioning Autism (www.socialthinking.com). The class provides students with the tools to develop a deeper understanding of social relations and communication while also learning how the social world works.
